The bikes are packed

With only a few days left before we set off, this weekend was devoted to sorting the bikes, servicing, dismantling,  and packing them into the airline specified sized box, which you would struggle to pack an 8 yr olds BMX into.  But as you can see, with magic circle qualities we are ready to go. However one good thing, for anyone considering this type of trip to Asia, Vietnam Airways are very generous with their baggage allowance  37 kgs p.p in economy, we were seriously considered taking the car as our support vehicle, with that allowance.  

However, with the bike boxes weighing in at 20kgs each(see photo),  and a spare of everything except pants and knickers, and the most extensive medical kit outside of westminster hospital, we soon hit the 37kgs. Lucky we were not travelling with easy jet, would have fore gone one wheel on each bike and I would have had to worn all Erika's trip clothes on the flight, just a normal weekend I hear you say !
